Ross has worked in the IT industry since 1988 and has developed a broad range and depth of IT and business skills through working in various positions, from programming through to IT support and sales roles.
Ross started IT Confidence since 2004 with a simple idea – “to help customers use the tools they have better” This is more relevant today as it has ever been as we’re now inundated with more tools with more complexity, and expected to do more with it all!
Ross is a keen social runner and enjoys tying this into his passion for travel. He completed the New York Marathon back in 2022, and is now looking for other excuses to travel abroad and go for a run.
James is an IT professional with over 20years of industry experience. Starting his career as a hardware technician for a leading global PC manufacturer, he now specialises in designing and deploying complete IT environments. James is passionate about building strong, long‑term customer relationships and delivering practical technology solutions. Outside of work, he enjoys motor racing, motorbikes, and spending time with his new French Bulldog, Marvin.
Hanish is an IT pro with a knack for making tech simple for businesses. At IT Confidence, he designs and supports IT systems that boost productivity. He's all about putting customers first, optimizing IT setups, and mentoring teams.
When he's not in the tech world, Hanish loves everything automotive and motorbikes. Whether he's working on vehicles or exploring new rides, he enjoys the hands-on challenge, just like solving IT problems.
Bridget, Ross's daughter, is the go-to Office Admin at IT Confidence. She handles all the backend stuff and keeps the business running smoothly. This father-daughter duo brings a unique vibe to the team. When she's not at work, Bridget's all about horses and animals. She loves hanging out at the stables and taking care of her furry friends.
Karl is a Service Desk Engineer based in Auckland with five years of experience in the IT industry. He is known for his calm, analytical approach to troubleshooting and his ability to deliver practical, user‑focused support. Prior to transitioning into IT, Karl worked as a professional pyrotechnician, a role that demanded precision, risk awareness, and disciplined procedures—skills that now strongly influence his methodical approach to technical problem‑solving.
Outside of work, he enjoys 4WD adventures and mountain biking, reflecting his hands‑on mindset and love of technical and physical challenges.
